Drives are the connective tissue of a life — the commute, the airport run, the Sunday detour that turned into the best day of the month. Nobody journals them, because nobody is going to press a start button every time they get in a car.
So Retrography doesn't have one. It detects driving on its own, from motion and GPS. If your car has CarPlay, connecting confirms the drive instantly. And if all your driving happens in your own CarPlay-equipped car, there's a strict CarPlay-only mode: trips start when the car connects and stop when it disconnects — the cleanest possible signal, with the motion pipeline switched off entirely.
Every trip becomes part of the day: the route drawn on your day's map with checkpoints along the way, the drive on your timeline between the places it connected, distance and duration in your units. A month later you can answer questions like when did we actually leave for the lake that morning? — because your journal knows.
And the part that matters: this is not a fleet tracker with a login. Your drives are stored on your phone, synced only through your own iCloud. There is no server on our side that ever sees where you've been.
